Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Instructions for Authors 

  • The manuscript will be sent to the journal using the Submission system on the Journal website.
  • The manuscript is subject to the Turnitin plagiarism detection software before sending to reviewers. Allowable plagiarism percentage below 20 %.
  • Three files should be sent to the Journal when the author makes a new submission as follows: 1. Article with names in docx/doc format. 2.Article without names in docx/doc format. 3. Declaration form in pdf format.
  • Journal of Water Resources and geosciences applies the license of Attribution-Noncommercial 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). If you need to know information on this license, please follow this link: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
  • The author(s) should declare if any, national or international organizations explicitly cover such fees for articles originated in funded research projects. If it is not announced by the author/s and if the grant authorities have a conflict, in this case, the manuscript will be rejected in any step of the publishing process. If the paper was already published, in this case, the Journal marks on the paper by "retracted".

General Format

1-   The format and arrangement of the journal/consists of the following:·      

Abstract (no more than 250 words) in English and/or Arabic.·      

Keywords (5 words).·      

Introduction and reference is made to the sources.·      

Research methods.·      

Results and discussion.·      

References (alphabetical order - Arabic and English) provided that the search pages do not exceed 15 pages.·      

  • Taking into account leaving a distance of (3 cm) on all sides and spaces (5) between the lines and writing on one side of the paper.
  • The Arabic letters are written in Simplified Arabic and English in the Time New Roman font, and the numbers in both cases are written in the (English) system.

2-   The main research title is written in size (16) bold black and the sub-headings (abstract, introduction, research methods, results and discussion, sources) are written in size (14) bold black, and the body of the research is written in size (12) with the page setting and leaving an indent (0.75 cm) for the first line only for each paragraph of the text. The title of the figure is written in size (12) and that it is brief and indicates its contents, and that there is no repetition of data that appeared in the research.

3-   The tables are printed within the body and immediately after the paragraph in which the reference is made to the table, and the title must be at the top of the table and in size (12), and the body of the table is in size (10) provided that the table does not exceed the page footnotes.

4-    The international units of measurement for the metric system (meters, kilograms, degrees Celsius) must be taken into account.

5-    References / that are directly related to the subject of the research should be approved and arranged according to the alphabet as follows:The name of the researcher (starts with the last name or surname followed by the abbreviation of the name), the year, the title of the research, the title of the journal, the journal number, the page number (from the first page to the last page). The number of parts, if more than one, and the total number of pages of the book.

Note: A "Template" file will be attached, detailing the details in the above paragraphs.It is also possible to adopt a global system in a ready-made format, such as the American APA system.6-      The scientific journal is obligated to respond to the researcher in the event that publication of the research is not accepted.

7-      The researcher does not have the right to publish the research before the publication is accepted and approved.

8-      After being published in the JWRGS journal, the research becomes the property of the journal.

9-      Publication periodicity: The magazine is currently published in two issues of one volume annually.

10-  Language of publication: Research is published in the journal in both Arabic and English, with the need to write a summary in English if the research is published in Arabic and vice versa if the research is published in English.
